Visit to County Line Orchard-apple/pumpkin patch 10/11/14

Sean, Ann, Dillon, Stephen and I picked another fabulous day to go pumpkin shopping.  We headed to County Line Orchard and partook in all their holiday festivities!!  There was a petting zoo, a small farm, dinosaur show that squished pumpkins, a corn maze, food vendors, lots of apples and pumpkins and homemade yumminess!!  The 5 of us had a fantastic day!!

Kambrye's parade 10/4/14

Stephen and I took a break from all the wedding buzz and watch Kambrye march in one of her parades as Drum Major!  It was exciting to see the marching bands

routine and they did a fabulous job.  Even took home a 2nd place trophy!!

Cody and Elisa's Wedding 9/30-10/5/14

Spent a week in St. Louis helping Cody and Elisa prepare for their big day - OCT 3 2014.  Phyllis and I helped make the mints, party favors, programs and place cards.  We even had time to get our nails done!  It was nice spending time with Phyllis!  The girls had a bachelorette party and Stephen was in charge of the boys bachelor party!
The guys got up early and went to breakfast at a spot Kay loved to go to.  They then went paint balling and spent the night at a hotel.  The morning of the wedding, the boys went shooting!
The girls got up early and went to have nails and toes done.  We were suppose to head zip lining but it was raining and we didn't want to get wet!  We then went to a winery and had lunch and received our gifts for being in the wedding.  The girls spent the night at Elisa's sisters house.  In the morning we went to get our hair and make up done.
The wedding was beautiful.  Rained all morning and turned very cold but we were still able to have it outside.  The wedding was held at an old plantation near St Louis

So happy for Cody and Elisa!!

Anna moving day 9/20/14

Anna's moving day!!!  She needed all the help she could get!  She moved into this cute little apartment!! A long day of moving heavy stuff but ended with crockpot chili and cocktails!!

Nina and the Pinta 9/7/14

Sean, Anna, Stephen and I picked a fabulous weekend and headed to Michigan City to see the Nina and Pinta.  They are replica ships that you can tour-the first ships that sailed the seas with Christopher Columbus.  We also took a little stroll along the beach and visited one of the light houses!!

For lunch we met up with some of Stephens work friends at Mateys...a fabulous restaurant that is open and looks like a big pirate ship!!
We also stopped by 513 after our long day and said hi to Christina!!

Labor Day Fun 2014

After the Zaehringers left we had a few friends over for a cook out, drinks and a little pool action!!  What a great weekend!

Zaehringers visit Labor Day weekend 8/30-9/1/14

The Zaehringers came for a visit minus Brent...he stayed home and built a new 4 season deck onto the house.  Zaehringers arrived later Friday night so we had pizza and watched a movie so we would be all rested up for our visit to Chicago on Saturday.  We took the train to the city and visited the Bean and took a stroll through the city with our ending destination being the Children's Museum at Navy Pier.  What a fantastic children's place!!  It was on the second floor of the building on the pier.  Next to the museum was a botanical place.  It looked beautiful through the glass...they were preparing for a wedding so we were not allow to enter. After a long day at the museum we headed back home for a nice cool swim!!

Sunday the kids helped me all day at our Annual Merrillville Animal Hospital Garage Sale.  It was from 9-3 but I had to get there at 5am to help get everything out.  Stephen, Sean and the Zaehringers grilled and served hot dogs and cold water for $1.00 each.  And of course the kids got to help with the kittens we had on display.  It was a very warm day to we had to take them into the air conditioned building about every hour!

Monday we got up and did a little swimming in the rain and the Zaehringers headed home!  It was so good seeing them!!
